SPECIAL RECOMMENDATIONS

          AISI 304L is the low carbon version of AISI 304 (0.08 %C) which may be susceptible to intergranular corrosion in certain corrosive media after it is welded or otherwise heated at temperatures between 430 and 860C.

          For welded applications avoid the unstabilised, higher carbon, versions.
