· AISI 316L is the low carbon version of AISI 316 (0.08 %C) which may be susceptible to intergranular corrosion in certain corrosive media after it is welded or otherwise heated at temperatures between 430 and 860°C. · For welded applications avoid the unstabilised, higher carbon, versions. |
