SPECIAL RECOMMENDATIONS

·          AISI 316L is the low carbon  version of AISI 316 (0.08 %C) which may be susceptible to intergranular corrosion in certain corrosive media after it is welded or otherwise heated at temperatures between 430 and 860°C.

·          For welded applications avoid the unstabilised, higher carbon, versions.
